That's why you always want to phrase your self hypnosis affirmations with positive sentences. 3. Use present tense. Always use present tense instead of future tense. So, you can use "Everyday I find happiness in my life" instead of "I will find happiness in my life". Do you see the diff erence? You want your subconscious mind to perceive that you are happy NOW, not sometimes in the future.4. Use emotion. Try to use words or sentences that can evoke your emotion. Adding emotional factor can be very effective, especially for people who are emotionally suggestible. So, make sure you take some time to formulate the wordings of your affirmations that can really evoke your emotion.
